These are black rectangles. It’s like a conceptual piece, but less conceptual. They contain lots of little changes in RGB; each pixel is a unique RGB value. I tweaked the color ranges according to what looked right to me and ended up with green far under-represented and surprisingly red the most represented (I thought we were least sensitive to blue!). I’m thinking about using slight color variation for hit testing, and decided to spend some of my cyba dough in Mechanical Turk.
The average purity rating for the first one came out to … 4.4 (on a scale from 1 to 5). For the second the average purity rating revealed … 3.8.
