Lately I’ve been asking people to describe games on mturk, and something interesting happened. When asked about a game involving real data, everyone seemed to overlook the rest of the game and focus on the data. Is it that anything that has the potential to affect our existence supercedes fantasy, whether obscur marine knowledge or worldy perspective? I mean is something at a preattentive level happening here?
